WUST Won MBA Copper Prize of National “Youth Start-up” University Student Entrepreneurship Competition

(Zhou Jie) The other day, MBA Contest and Network Information Economy Contest of 2018 National “Youth Start-up” University Student Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Zhejiang Normal University. Instructed by our school’s Ms. Wang Fang, MBA student, Nie Yongqian, 2015 undergraduate Zhou Jie and Huang Maojing comprised “Cut-off Line – University Education Service System” and joined in the competition on behalf of our university. Finally, they won Cooper Prize in the final.  

“Cut-off Line – University Education Service System” is an education service project for senior high school students by providing consultation of intentional university selection filling, vocation assessment and planning instructions, helping students complete intentional university selection filling, vocation planning, overseas studies, autonomous enrollment and major regulation.

Since the project was set up, teachers and students have discussed and revised the competition text repeatedly. Instructor, Wang Fang provided great help for the participant students, guided them, and solved their doubts. Finally, students obtained Copper Prize.

Since the competition was launched in April this year, after initial contest and quarter-final in universities, finally 100 MBA start-up practice projects from 25 provinces, municipality directly under the central government and autonomous regions was screened out and entered the final. The final assessment lasted for 4 days. Judge Committee was composed of 45 judges, including famous experts, scholars, successful entrepreneurs and professional managers from China. The prizes were decided in the end by written assessment, site defense, public presentation and joint meeting discussion.

The competition was organized by Central Youth League, Education Department, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, China Association for Science and Technology, National Association of Students and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and hosted by Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Provincial Committee of Youth League, Jinhua Municipal People’s Government and Zhejiang Normal University.

As the first “Youth Start-up” Competition convened after the 19th Congress of the CPC, the competition themed on “Youth Start-up, New Age of Achievement”, aiming at setting up a platform for university students’ innovation and start-up, finding out, nurturing and selecting innovation and start-up talents, and further facilitating “massive start-up, massive innovation”.
