The Fourth China-America-Belgium Joint Internship Report Conference Evergrande Management School, Washburn University and Business School of Belgium PLX closed the curtain. On the morning of May 25th, the internship report conference was held in Classroom F4401, Qingshan Campus of WUST. Dean of the school, Professor Deng Xudong, Professor Michael Stoica of Washburn University and Professor Christof Jans of Belgium PXL Applied Technology University and corporate leaders that supported the activity attended the conference, which was presided over by Associate Professor Liu Yong.
At the beginning of the conference, Dean Deng Xudong made an address, first expressed gratitude to enterprises and leaders attending the internship report conference, affirmed the achievements made by the students in China, America and Belgium, and wished that the internship team would expand in the future. Finally, Dean Mr. Deng expressed gratitude to contributions made by Professor Michael Stoica and Professor Christof Jan again.
Professor Michael Stoica and Professor Christof Jan respectively made a speech. Professor Jans said that the joint internship aimed at knowing Wuhan’s business operation method and extending friendship among the three countries.
A total of 29 university students from China, America and Belgium presented their achievements of internship, composed of 9 from Washburn University, 10 from Business School of Belgium PXL and 20 from our university. They comprised 5 joint internship teams, respectively interned in Wuhan Merchants Group Co., Ltd. Wuhan Keyu Investment Management Co., Ltd., Wuhan Oulinde Furniture Co., Ltd., Wuhan Branch of Wuhan Jingdong Yuanxin Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Branch of Evergrande Property Co., Ltd.
Early in first half of March, students from China, America and Belgium composed five teams via online video meeting. Later, students from the three countries conducted pre-investigations in each country. Chinese students deepened into local companies in Wuhan. In the second half of May, students from America and Belgium arrived in Wuhan, began one-week internship with Chinese students in local enterprises in Wuhan and prepared report materials.
Joint internship has a long history, which can help improve Chinese students’ English, boost practical working ability in students from different countries and their professional competence. In the meanwhile, it strengthens international friendship among China, America and Belgium, and drives cultural exchanges.
